The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it truly is alarmed about the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to sassa the higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office focused on service the area daily. The services place created for intervention encounters a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.

For more information, community members can call toll free status sassa during working days/hours on 0800 60 10 11 and WhatsApp on 082 046 8553. - read more SAnews.gov.za
